I am thrilled to share my experience returning to jiujitsu after a challenging two-year hiatus, especially in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Professor James has played an instrumental role in making this journey not only possible but also incredibly rewarding. Being 50 years old, I initially had reservations about getting back into the rigorous world of jiujitsu. However, Professor James' expertise, coupled with his supportive and encouraging teaching style, quickly alleviated any concerns I had. His wealth of experience, highlighted by his active participation and success in tournaments, instills confidence and admiration in his students. One of the aspects that sets Professor James apart is his commitment to continuous improvement. Regularly training at the RMNU headquarters alongside our lead association instructor, Professor Robson Moura, he brings a level of dedication and skill that is truly commendable. As a practitioner who competes and excels in tournaments, his practical knowledge adds a unique dimension to his teaching, ensuring that students receive instruction that goes beyond the theoretical. Upon my return to Martial Arts Advantage, I was fortunate to find Professor James taking on a teaching role. His thorough and detailed approach to instruction has been instrumental in helping me regain my footing in the world of jiujitsu. From fundamental techniques to advanced moves, he covers all aspects of the sport, seamlessly integrating takedowns and wrestling maneuvers into the curriculum. What stands out most about Professor James is his ability to infuse a fresh, young perspective into training. This dynamic approach not only keeps the sessions engaging and enjoyable but also fosters a family-friendly environment. His enthusiasm and passion for jiujitsu are contagious, making every class an opportunity for personal growth and accelerated learning in the sport. In conclusion, I am immensely grateful for the guidance and expertise that Professor James brings to the mat. His commitment to excellence, combined with his friendly and approachable demeanor, makes him an exceptional instructor. Thanks to him, I have not only overcome the challenges of returning to jiujitsu but have also found a renewed sense of enthusiasm and progress in my martial arts journey.
